for those Pee Wees
PeeWee A's
The Lucknow PeeWee A's are on a winn-
ing streak following four games over the
last two weeks. The local team started
their winning ways with a home and home
series against Ripley.
In the first game of the series, Ripley
opened the scoring before Lucknow's Matt
Drennan tied the game in the second
period. Clint Murray drew the assist.
Ripley took the lead again before the se-
cond period came to a close and the stage
was set for an exciting third period. Deter-
mined to win, Lucknow came out flying in
the final period. Steve Porter tied the
game again with a blast from the blueline.
The winning goal came from the stick of
Clint Murray who took a Matt Drennan
pass and deposited it in the Ripley net. The
final score was 3 - 2 for Lucknow.
When Ripley came to town for game two
of the series, Lucknow took no prisoners
and won the game 6 - 0. Lucknow goals
came from Dan Kerr and Matt Drennan
with two each, with singles from Collin
Humphrey and Scott Rintoul. Assisting
were Steve Adams with two, Tom Chilton
and Clint Murray.
Last week, Teeswater came to town and
the powerful PeeWees again took the win.
The visitors found the mark first early in
the opening period but by the end of the
first, Lucknow had the lead.
Clint Murray scored with an assist from
Matt Drennan and Collin Humphrey
scored after passes from Scott Rintoul and
Dan Kerr.
Lucknow netted three more goals in the
second to Teeswaters one. Making the
scoring sheet for the local team were Dar-
ryl Gibson with two and a single from Paul
Kikkert.
In tyhe third period Clint Murray got his
second on the night with Dan Kerr scoring
the final goal of the game to give Lucknow
a 7 - 2 win.
Last Friday night the Brussels PeeWees
came to town for an exhibition game and
Lucknow handed them a 5 - 0 shellacing.
Clint Murray got two.quick goals early in
the first period with assists to Scott Rin-
toul, Matt Drennan and Collin Humphrey.
Following a scoreless second period,
Daryl Gibson, Matt Drennan and Tom
Chilton rounded out the scoring in the final
period. Assisting were Collin Humphrey,
Clint Murray and Matt Drennan.
The Lucknow PeeWee A's are playing
strong hockey this season and deserve
your support. The next home game for the
team will be Friday, December 23 when
Teeswater makes a return visit. Game
time is 7 p.m.
Lucknow lads skate to
a tie with Wingham
Bantam B
The Lucknow Bantam B squad skated to
a five all tie with Wingham over the
weekend. Chris Humphrey opened the
scoring for Lucknow right off the face-off.
Assists went to Warren Andrews and Don-
nie Cuillerier.
Humphrey also put the second goal away
by sliding the puck under the Wingham
goalie. Tom Hogan and Warren Andrews
notched assists on that one.
It was Donnie Cuillerier netting the third
Lucknow marker on a shot from a difficult
angle assisted by Peter Reavie. That was.
the go-ahead goal for Lucknow making the
score 3'- 2.
Gavin Hunter found the mark for the
fourth goal, unassisted, and it looked like
Lucknow had a win in hand.
Donnie Cuillerier poked the fifth goal
under the Wingham netminder, assist to
Dennis Hogan.
Wingham stormed back in the third to tie
the game and Lucknow had to settle for the
single point.
Lucknow goalie Joel Sutton did a good
job in keeping the game even when
Wingham had thoughts of winning.

for that elusive first win
Lucknow Novice

lads on Tueday last week and went home
with a hard fought 2 - 1 victory.

The Lucknow Novice team are still look-
ing for their first win of the season and
hopefully, with a good team effort, they
will get that win when Walkerton visits for
their next game.
Come out and cheer the team on, a little
fan support goes a long way.
