After dinner, gifts from Secret Pais were opened and then everyone enjoyed a variety of desserts. New Secret Pals were chosen for the upcoming year, OBITUARIES PETER EARL SWAN Peter Earl Swan passed away at the Gateway Haven Nursing Home in Wiarton on Monday, November 21, 1988. A retired farmer from Ashfield Township, Mr. Swan was 91 years of age. Peter Earl Swan was born in Ashfield on November 16, 1897 to George and Sarah Swan. He was a member of the Ashfield Presbyterian Church. Peter was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Marion Disher; three brothers; one sister and one grandson. Surviving are three sons and their wives: Earl and Marilyn of Cambridge," Russel and Nancy of Ashfield, and Everett and Patricia, also of Cambridge. Also sur- viving are 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Peter Earl Swan were conducted from the MacKenzie and McCreath„ Funeral Home, Lucknow with Rev. H. Nugent officiating. Active pallbearers included Gordon Struthers, Bob Farrish, Dave Swan, Bev McNay, Peter VanOsch and Don Farrish. Ralph Swan, Michael Swan and Kevin Swan acted a flower bearers for the service. Interment in the Dungannon Cemetery. A ,letter asking for donations to the Lucknow Christmas Fund was read, and everyone agreed to again contribute this year. A donation was also made to the Sports Complex fund from the money col- lected in a draw earlier. A provincial executive meeting will be held on November 12 in Milton and Laura Hare will attend if possible. Several quilt tops hay2 been assembled and members will byV get together to tie them soon so they can be donated to fire victims. The Kinette Christmas bazaar will be held on Dec. 3. The Junior Institute will have a table of crafts and baking. Ideas for items to sell were demonstrated and money was collected to buy items for grab bags. The annual Christmas Party for seniors will be held on Dec. 5 at the Town Hall. Deirdre Graham and Cecilia Miltenburg will be coordinating the entertainment for this event, B IRTFIS SYMES - James and Ardonna of Goderich are pleased to announce the safe arrival of Kaylan Daphne born at the Clinton Public Hospital on November 12, 1988 weighing 8 lbs, 2 oz. She is a wee sister for Cody and Jared and a new cousin for Jordanna Dale. MURRAY - Paul and Carrie of Ripley welcome with love a new son, Jason Paul, born in the Wingham and District Hospital November 19, 1988. Jason weighed in at 8 lbs, 6 oz at his birth.
