Full squad of Pee Wees
start season with a win
The Lucknow Pee Wee A's have a full
squad of players this year and the team
started the season off on the right foot with
an opening game victory. over Teeswater
last week.
Teeswater opened the scoring early in
the contest but Lucknow stormed back and
tied the game by the end of the first. Chris
Dejong netted the rally with assists going
to Collin Humphrey and Scott Rintoul.
It wasn't until late in the second period
that Lucknow took the lead with Matt
Drennan scoring on a pass from Clint Mur-
ray. The third period of play failed to pro-
vided any scoring and so Lucknow took the
win 2 1.
In the Pee Wee's second game of the
season, Wallace visited the local arena and
proved to be very tough competition.
Wallace scored first before Darryl Gib-
son came back to tie it on a pass from Chad
Hiller. Wallace added three more goals by
PORTS
the end of the second and things looked
dismal for the home team.
Come the third period, Lucknow came
out flying and netted four goals to
Wallace's two. Clint Murray scored
unassisted, Matt Drennan tallied on a pass
from Clint, and Tom Chilton netted a
marker with an assist to Steve Porter.
Clint Murray found the mark again, this
time from Matt Drennan and Steve Porter,
but it was not enough - Wallace took away
a 6 - 5 vistory.
The local Pee Wee's take to the ice again
this Friday, November 25 at 7 p.m when
Ripley will make their first appearance at
the Lucknow Arena this year.
