Beth McConnell is a patient in Wingham
Hospital. Allister Nivins is a patient in

tient in University Hospital, London. Best

Dungannon Senior Citizens held their
regular Wednesday Night Card Party with
15 tables. High Lady - Mary Harris; Low
Lady Femme Groen; High Man - Cecil
Pollock; Low Man - Jeremy Brindley.
Jane Shetler of St. Catherines spent the
weekend with her mother, Lee Shetler.
Mrs. Vivian Earl, Chicago, Illinois,
visited her daughter, Karen Roberts, Rev.
Robert and family at the United Church
Manse.
Congratulations to John and Donna Cur-
ran who were married Friday at 7:00 at
Dungannon United Church. Reception
followed at Saltford Valley Hall.
Dungannon Agricultural Society is hav-
ing a Membership Drive on Tuesday, Nov.
29th at their regular meeting. Bring your
friends, your ideas and join the community
in giving a hand.
The Dungannon Explorers met on
Wednesday, November 9th. They began

the evening with the opening ceremony of
the purpose, motto and "This is My
Father's World". Then they talked about
the next meeting, which would be
November 23rd and what they would do.
They decided on making braided hangers,
and gimp bracelets. They then went into
their groups.
Some of the members of the gold' group
taught the others a new song with actions.
It was called "I Can Do All Things". Then
they were taught a new game called
"Stella Ella 011a". They then closed the
meeting with the prayer and song "Oh,
Master of the Loving Heart".

The service was held at Dungannon with
Rev. D. Armstrong.
The Junior Choir practices at Dungan-
non Thursday nights at 7. Any child is
welcome to join.

held on Sunday with 2 sittings. Lovely
meals were prepared
Visit from Michigan
Pine River U.C.W.
The November meeting of the U.C.W. of
the Pine River United Church met Tues-
day evening November 8, in the basement
of the church.
The meeting opened with the president
Betty Jones in the chair. Betty opened the
meeting by having the ladies sing "All Hail
the Power of Jesus' Name". The Purpose
of the U.C.W. was repeated in unison.
The roll call was taken by the 20 ladies
present by giving their favorite verse in
the Bible.
The treasurer's report was given by
Margaret Ferguson discussion followed
and we found that all the positions for the
offices of the U.C.W. have been filled for
1989.
The offering wastaken up and dedicated
by the president Betty Jones.
The meeting was then turned over to the
convenor Margaret Reed. The hymn "Let
There be Peace on Earth" was sung. A
reading was given by Margaret on the
reason why we should remember the dead
and the ones that served in the wars and
also a reading that had been written by a
15 year old girl.
Phyllis Elliott led in prayer.
There was quite a long discussion on the
environment, what we should and
shouldn't do. A new song "Recycle" was
sung. Grace was sung and lovely lunch

Recent visitors with Elmer and Edna
Culbert was Elmer's two sisters Peggy
McIntosh from Northville, Michigan and
Velma Ashton from Plymouth Michigan.
Visitors recently with Rhetta and
Marion MacLennan was Collin MacLen-
nan of Agincourt and Louise Miller of
Palmerston, on Wednesday they were
down at Point Clark at Margaret Mortens
to celebrate Rhetta's birthday.
Visitors on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Robb was Bob and Sandra Darling
and their two children from Chesley and
also William and Shirley Irvin and their
three daughters of Ashfield Township.
Visiting with Dorothy Finlayson was
Carol Finlayson and her husband John
Balch and their two sons Alexander and
Nicholas of Toronto and Barbara Roger-
son also of Toronto.
Allan and Millie MacLean of Coll-
ingwood visited on Tuesday with Allan's
brother and sister-in-law Ewan and Marj
MacLean.

Born in Sarnia, Jerry Brodey has taught
school to children with special needs and is
presently giving music workshops to other
educators. Kim began her performing
career in the United States with the Juke
String Band. I • "i uenced by Charlie
Chaplin and Ear;.L:, Kitt, she attended the
Circle in the Square School and performed
for three years with mime artist, Mark
Epstein. Before beaming up with Kim,
Jerry recorded two solo albums, "Songs
Have Wings" and "Carnival" and made
many television appearances on Mr.
Dress -Up, Kidswnrld and Live It Up. In-
fluenced by the Beatles, Red Skelton and
Bruce Cockburn, Jerry has developed a
unique songwriting style. You can hear the
results op Kim and Jerry's albums, "Sim-
ple Magic" and "Family Pie".
