South Kinloss AVMS
The South Kinloss WMS met Nov. 1 at
the church with Mrs. . Evan Keith as
hostess. Directors were Mrs. Harry Lavis
and Mrs. Fraser MacKinnon.
President, Mrs.''Leonard Clarke opened
the evening by making the 18 members
present aware of the article in the
September Presbyterian Record by Mrs.
Frances Nugent on the upcoming South
Africa Study Book. There was also an arti-
cle on Bob Ferris, a worker from Camp
Kintail who is travelling to Mozambik.
Some more news on the 75th Anniver-
sary held in London May 26 - 28 was
shared. Prayer concluded her opening.
The October minutes were read and ap-
proved. Secretary, Mrs. William Dickie
also referred to the correspondence.
Mrs. Fraser MacKinnon gave the
treasurer's report and the ladies' aid was
heard from Mrs. Evan Keith.
Mrs. Harry Lavis presented a Bible
Study inspired by the 1989 WMS calendar
entitled `Reflections of God's Love'.
Prayer Circle included Mrs. Fraser
MacKinnon, Mrs. Lloyd MacDougall and
Mrs. Fred de Boer.
Mrs. Ira Dickie shared a young girl's
thoughts on Remembrance Day entitled
"Chrimson and Bittersweet'.
The offering and offertory prayer follow-
ed lead by Mrs. Leonard Maclnnes.
Mrs. Jack Needham spent a joyful time
at the piano after which various business
matters were conducted.
Rollcall was a memorized verse which
has been a source of strength or inspira-
tion. The members also volunteered ideas
for next year's program.
A film on Russia was shown which serv-
ed to further our knowledge of Russian
culture and religion and an excellent way
of concluding this year's study.
The annual meeting will be held Dec. 6 at
7:00 beginning with a dessert luncheon.
Mrs. Allan MacDougall will host at the
church. Rollcall is a $2 gift for a shut-in.
Courtesy remarks were heard by Mrs.
Fraser MacKinnon responded to by Mrs.
Evan Keith.
Mrs. Olive Needham lead in closing
prayer.
Hymns were sung throughout the even-
ing as well as grace which preceded lunch
and fellowship was enjoyed.
