The community would like to send its
sympathy to the family of the late William
Finlayson, who passed away very sudden-
ly at his home in Teeswater on Saturday,
October 29th at the early age of 41 years.
Mr. Finlayson is survived by his wife
Judy, one son John and one daughter Jen-
nie, his mother Dorothy Finlayson, five
brothers and three sisters. Mr. Finlayson
was the son of the late Mr. Gordon
Finlayson.
Visiting on Sunday with Charlie, Mayme
and Ken Wilkins was Barbara Wilkins, her
friends Kirk and Rowena from Paris
Stella and Lloyd Irwin of Kinloss township,
Elizabeth Wilkins of Mount Forest, David
Dadson of Amberley and Bill and Joanne
Wilkins of Guelph.
George, Andrea, Julie and Micheal Mac-
Donald of Kincardine visited on Sunday
with Finlay and Margie MacDonald and
Elmer and Edna Culbert.
Kae, Jim and Cecil Webster spent the
weekend in Richfield, Ohio with Atlee,
Jean and Tricia Wise. The weather in Ohio
was cold and windy the same as it was
here.
On Wednesday, Rhetta MacLennan
visited at Point Clark with Mr. and Mrs.
Sandy MacCharles.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Mathewman have
Jessie Johnston, who were aptly renamed
"The Three Sweethearts of Branch 309".
Jim Reed of W5, a part time resident of
Dungannon, was guest speaker for the
evening. He related some personal ex-
periences, one that took place in Lebanon
in 1977 while he was on assignment and the
other regarding the takeover of the
American embassy in Tehran. Mr. Reed's
address to the gathering was very thought
provoking, particularly at this time of the
year. It is understandable why Mr. Reed is
such a highly respected journalist.
Remembrance Day service will be held
at the Lucknow United Church, 10 a.m.
with Cenotpah service at 11 a.m.
