A double 80th birthday party was held last Saturday for Margaret and Ted Collyer, Sr.

Residents that live in the area of Gough
and Havelock Streets have had visitors. It
seems ever since Hallowe'en night three
hens and two roosters have been making
themselves at home in this part of the
town.
Thursday evening, Lulu Stanley enter-
tained Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Shantz of
Ripley, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Breckles and
Pastor and Mrs. Christensen all of
Kinlough for dinner.
Home on Saturday,with their mother
Elsie Houston, were Kenneth and Joy
Houston, Amy, Angela and Sarah Fisk of
Harriston and Wallace and Kerry Houston,
Dana, Allston and Drew of Aylmer.
Steve and Brenda (Chisholm) Berry
have rented Betsy Henderson's house.
It is good to see the expansion of ."Your
Favourite Things" into the former
"DeeVees" store, making one less vacant
storefront.
Bruce and Barb Willits and girls attend-
ed the 40th wedding anniversary party for
his parents Walter and Jean Willits of R. 1
Wingham on November 6. They also heard
about the three week trip they had enjoyed
through Western Canada visiting the
mountains and Peace River district with
their son Mac.
Visiting with Lulu Stanley overnight Fri-
day were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tollefson and
Dani Jane of Mississauga. Saturday, Lulu
accompanikd her brother and his wife, Mr.
and Mrs. R.J. Kaake to a funeral at
Paisley. Sunday she visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Linton Sitler near Walkerton.
Fred Ward has returned home after
spending five weeks in London and
Wingham Hospitals where he had surgery
on his hip.

Marion Zinn and Dorothy Wallace of
Goderich have returned from a very en-
joyable conducted tour. They spent three
weeks in Turkey and one week around Lon-
don, England. They had excellent weather
in Turkey and excellent food with all kinds
of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Sympathy is extended to Shirley Bolt
and family in the passing last week of her
uncle, Dave Jewitt.
On October 31, Thornton Eedy, on a trip
home from Mexico, visited family and
friends in Goderich, Dungannon and
Lucknow. At Cresthaven Apartments, he
visited Mrs. Olive Blake, Frank Glenn and
Harold.
Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Comfort of ST.
Catharines spend the afternoon of
November 3 with their aunt Olive Blake.
Mrs. A.J. Sherwood visited on Thursday
evening.
Mrs. Eileen Consett of Zurich spent
Saturday afternoon visiting cousins, Olive
Blake and Ada Webster. She had spent the
weekend at Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Becker's
and family and attended her grandson
Tim's graduation at Wingham High School
Friday evening.
Visitors over the weekend with Austin
and Mildred Loree were Brad and Shirley
Kalbfleisch of R. R. Moorefield and Lorne
and Thelma Loree of Kitchener.
Next Monday is election day for the
municipalities, so don't forget to vote.
Tops attend Durham rally day
Five members of No. 1609, Lucknow
TOPS, attended Diamond Area Rally Day
in Durham. This area includes groups
from Grey, Bruce, Wellington and Duf-
ferin counties.
The program included success stories' of
weight loss, slide presentations and
workshops for Leaders and Weight
Recorders.
In the afternoon, there was a Wedding
Dress Parade _and a 40th Anniversary
story of accomplishments and spread
worldwide of TOPS (Taking Off Pounds
Sensibly).
Presentations to Lucknow members for
pounds lost went to Margaret Martin,
Laura Hare, Lillian Abbott and Laura Lee
Cayley. Chapter High Loser was Margaret
Martin, 3 year KOPS Alumni was Laura
Lee Cayley and Miss Inspiration was
Leader Pat Porter. Lillian Abbott was
Chapter Queen for pounds lost in the past
year.
