We are making pop up books. One is
about pumpkins, the other one is about wit-

Room 4
The Room 4 Wonder Castle is working to
complete our castle centres soon. In our
centres we've practiced language skills,
math and thinking. Can you compare a
dragon and a cow? And what animal is half
eagle and hall lion? Do you know what a
castlekeep is? We also enjoyed a trip to see
how log houses are built at the home of our
classmate, Jordan Andrew. JeeVee
Dhaliwal is our "Special Me".

Hotdog Days will be starting on
November 1. They will be held the first and
third Tuesday of each month. The cost will
be 75¢ per hotdog.
The Grade 5's have been doing Canadian
Achievement Tests this week.
Room 6
The Room 6 Readers published the
Halloween edition of "The Slimepit Sen-
tinel" on Monday. Every class received a
copy. All week the boys have been busy
creating weird and unsightly mixtures for
our Witch Store that will be open on Hallo-

like fresh lizard, witch ketchup and magic
dust.
Grade 7 Room 10

B ROOKSIDE BROADCAST
researched the history of Brookside P.S.
We are now researching the history of 3
local communities, which are: Saint
Helen's, Dungannon and Lucknow.
Grade 7/8
Room 8 Brookside is planning for
Hallowe'en. In the excitement of
Hallowe'en Room 8 has been putting up
Hallowe'en posters, and spooky things on
the windows. We also have been thinking
about doing Hallowe'en centers. Room 8
has also been planning the Hallowe'en
dance and costume party for the younger
grades. So watch out for those spooky
ghosts and goblins when they come to your
door.
