The overall Champion calf was owned by Vanessa Alton, Lucknow. Her steer was sold for the top price of $2.00/lb. to Bill Scott of Drumbo. The Reserve Champion steer belonging to Stephen Keelan, Ripley was purchased by Thompson Feed and Supply for $1.25/lb. Greg Hutton, Paisley, sold his Champion heifer to Gamble & Rogers for $1.60/1b. The Reserve Champion heifer owned by Jeff MacPherson, Tiverton, went to Dale Pletch for $1.15/lb. Other Champion steers in their weight class were owned by Patti Weber, Mildmay, and Ronda Ribey, Paisley. Reserve steers belonged to Gordon Wolfe, Dobbinton; Mandy Farrell, Ripley; Scott Johnston, Bluevale; and Darlene Black, Belgrave. Sam Snobelen and Crosby Devitt, both of Ripley, won Champion and Reserve heifer, respectively, in their weight class. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hackett of Toronto spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Midford Wall, Concession 10. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morningstar, Lindsay and Andrew of Port Elgin, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Thompson and family of Kincardine Twp. were dinner guests on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell. Mrs. Audrey Borthwick of St. Catharines spent Thanksgiving weekend here with the Hodgins relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhody had a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Brace, Travers and Michael, Mrs. Janet Rhody and family all of London, Mrs. Debbie Rhody, Brad, Dawn and Elaine of Concession 10. Home with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhody for a visit is their son David Rhody of Africa, and presently at Ottawa. We extend sympathy to Mr. and Mrs, Jim (Volaine) Hodgins in the recent death of her mother Mrs, Russell Rilett. ACW On Thursday afternoon the Anglican Church Women met at the church for their annual bale packing when the many ar- ticles of clothing were boxed, sealed up and labelled for mailing to Western Canada. Mrs. Roy Collins presided for a short business meeting. Mr. and Mrs. David Atwell were welcomed. The roll call was ``Something I am thankful for." An invitation was accepted from the Kinlough WMS to their Thankoffering Meeting on' October 19. Mr. Atwell read a few verses from 2nd Corinthians and commented on them.
