William Edward Haldenby
William Edward Haldenby, formerly of
Kinlough, passed away at the Pinecrest
Nursing Home in Lucknow on September
23, 1988. He was 93 years of age.
Born in Westford, Culross Township on
May 26, 1895 to Mathew Haldenby and Em-
ma Jane Wall, William Haldenby married
Margaret Becking m Teeswater in 1923. He
was a member of the Kinlough Pentecostal
• Church and a member of the Kinloss
Orange Lodge 898.
William Haldenby is survived by his
wife, now a resident of Pinecrest; one son,
Ralph and wife Loreen of Guelph; one
daughter, Florence and husband Norman
Fry of Harriston; five grandchildren and
three great grandchildren. Also surviving
is one brother, Arthur Haldenby of
Kinlough.
He was predeceased by two brothers,
George and Norman; three sisters, Minnie
McIntyre, Maude Dudley and Fanny
Haldenby; and two children, William
OBITUARY
Hugh and Wilma.
Funeral services were held for William
Haldenby from the MacKenzie. and Mc-
Creath Funeral Home in Lucknow on Sun-
day, September 25, 1988 with Rev. M.
Christenson officiating. Laura Dahmer
acted as organist for the ceremony with
Bill and Celine Haldenby, Connie Donner,
Rick Fry, Catherine and Paul Ludwig and
Rob Fry acting as flower bearers.
Active pallbearers included Bill Burt,
Stewart Lane, Doug Dahmer, Harold
Haldenby, Gerald Rhody and Clare Sparl-
ing with Walter Breckles as an honourary
pallbearer. A special lodge service was
held at the Kinloss Orange Lodge on Satur-
day, September 24.
A graveside service was held with inter-
ment at the Culross Teeswater Cemetery.
MacNAY - Steve and Mary ( nee Kempton )
are thrilled to announce finally the safe ar-
rival of their daughter, Candice Lee, 8 lbs.
10 oz, at the Wingham and District
Hospital, on September 12, 1988. Spoiling
privileges go to grandparents, Bob and
Mary MacNay of Amberley and Bill and
Janet Kempton of Point Clark. Proud
great grandparents are Richard and Emi-
ly McQuillin, Margaret MacNay and
Noma Campbell, all of Lucknow area.
ELSTON - Keith, Barb and Emily are
thrilled to announce the safe arrival of
Leanne Jennette, on September 16, 1988 at
Wingham and District Hospital. Leanne
weighed 8 Ib. 6 oz. Proud grandparents are
Isabel and Bill Elston, Lois and Grant Far-
rish and great grandma Marj Bowman.

District Hospital weighing 7 lbs., 10 oz. She
is a sister for Carla and a grand daughter
for Don and Audrey England and Jim and
Grace Netterfield. She is a great grand
daughter for Mrs. Jane England of
Lucknow.

arrival of their new son and brother,
Daniel Elijah, on September 23, 1988 at
Fergus,Groves Memorial Hospital. Daniel
weighed in at 7 lbs., 3 oz at his birth. Proud
