Parents and Teachers for Social Respon- sibility The purpose of P.T.S.R. is to "stimulate global action that will protect children from the threat of nuclear war." Tony McQuail, Trustee for Ashfield and West Wawanosh Townships, will make in- troductory comments followed by Jane Hoy, area coordinator of A Peal for Peace. The Principal of Central Huron Secondary School, Joe Wooden, will talk of an educators perspective. Jim Hoolingsworth will describe the activities of Physicians Duck season The 1988 migratory bird hunting season opens on September 24th, throughout Grey and Bruce Counties. Officers from the Owen Sound detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and conserva- tion officers from the Ministry of Natural Resources, will be conducting patrols of local .duck and goose hunting areas. Of- ficers will be checking migratory bird hun- ting permits, provincial hunting licenses, firearms, and bag limits etc. The bag limits for geese has remained the same at five (5) daily, and a total possession limit of ten (10). The bag limit for ducks has changed slightly for the 1988 season. The daily limit remains at six (6), with no more than one black duck, not more than one canvasback (changed from two), and not more than for Social Responsibiltiy. These short talks will be followed by discussion on the issue with those attending. There will be a literature table and refreshments. It is hoped that there will be enough interest toe form a local group of Parents and Teachers for Social Respon- sibility. The threat of nuclear war is awesome.
