Pee Wees advance to
WOAA. semi-finals
The Lucknow Pee Wees advanced to the
W.O.A.A. semi-finals last week by
defeating the team from Chepstow in two
straight games.
In game one, the Lucknow boys fell
behind 9 - 0 before storming back to win 11-
9 in extra innings. Brad Rhody pitched
one -and -a -third innings, allowing one hit,
six walks and three strike outs. Clint Mur-
ray took the mound for two-thirds of an in-
ning and allowed four walks.
Next pitching was Chris Stevenson who
came in for five innings. Chris allowed one
hit, six walks while striking out five
batters.
Lucknow had hits ftom Brad Rhody,
Chad Stanley, Steve Porter and a grand
slam homer off the bat of Chris Stevenson.
Game two
Come game two in the series with
Chepstow, Lucknow rolled to an easy 24 - 7
win. Terry Stanley pitched four innings

allowing three hits, three walks and strik-
ing out eight. Chris Stevenson pitched the
final three innings and allowed two hits
and two walks while striking out five
batters.
Adam Skillen, Justin Murray, Clint Mur-
ray and Jason Stanley contributed two hits
each while Vince Sticklend, Brad Rhody,
Adrian Helm, Terry Livingston and Donny
Cullerier added one each.
Lucknow's next series starts tonight,
Wednesday, August 31, at 7:30 p.m.
against St. Pauls. The boys are also com-
peting in the All Ontario Championship
over the Labout Dm weekend in Wroxeter.
Lucknow's first game in that series is 10:30
a.m., September 3 in Gorrie against
Palmerston.

THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS ACT - Sections 24 & 25
NOTICE is hereby given that 1 have complied with Sections
24 and 25 of The Municipal Elections Act and that I have
posted up in my office at Ripley, Ontario on the 31st day of
August, 1988 the list of persons eligible to vote . in the
municipality at municipal elections and the list remains there
for inspection.
And 1 hereby call upon all such electors to examine the
list and to take immediate proceedings to have any errors
or omissions corrected according to law.
The last day for filing applications for inclusions, additions,
or corrections to or deletions from the list is Monday the 17th
day of October, 1988.
The place at which the revisions of the list will be taken
is the Township of Huron Municipal Office, in the Medical
Centre at Ripley, Ontario.
Revisions of the list will be undertaken during normal of-
fice hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Tuesday, September
6th, 1988 through Monday, October 17th, 1988.
QUALIFICATION OF ELECTORS
A person is entitled to be an elector in a municipality if
not disqualified under this or any other Act or otherwise pro-
hibited by law from voting in the election and if, at any time
during the period commencing on the Tuesday following the
first Monday in September in an election year and ending
on the Monday in. October that precedes polling day by
twenty-eight days and is
(a) a resident in such municipality or is the owner or tenant
of land in the municipality; or the spouse of such an
owner or tenant; and
(b) a Canadian citizen and
(c) has, attained the age of eighteen years or on or before
polling day will attain the age of eighteen years.

The Lanesville Lords, on behalf of the Lucknow Kinsmen and the Port Albert
Bullhogs, recently donated the proceeds of their annual slo-pitch tourney to the
Lucknow Sports Complex. Handing over the cheque for $1,100 to Recreation Director
Bill Hunter is Gordon Kemp. Mr. Hunter told us the money would be used to purchase
lockers and coat racks for the arena. The Lanesville Lords' annual slo-pitch tourney
