Teen Circle reunion
Pine River
Teen Circle Reunion
Thirteen ladies who formerly attended
Pine River United Church, went to Kit-
chener for their reunion on Monday,
August 8th. It was 35 years since they held
their first reunion at Pollock's picnic
grounds at Bruce Beach.
Our first stop was at a restaurant where
we enjoyed our first course. Then we went
to the apartment of Lila and Grant
MacLennan, where we were served
'dessert and coffee. Mary MacDonald gave
a beautiful "In Memoriam" in memory of
two of our members of our original group
who have passed away since our gathering
last year, namely Hilda Ackert and Annie
Irwin and also her daughter Elaine Irwin
who came with her mother many times
when she was young.
We had an enjoyable program following
our dessert by members of the group. One
was a dialogue prepared by Lila MacLen-
nan, "Count your many blessings".
Following each reader, one verse and
chorus of this hymn was sung. We sang
"Happy Birthday" to Erma MacDonald,
who will celebrate her birthday later this
month. We signed cards for several from
our group who have been hospitalized.
Jean MacDonald had the lucky chair.
