The day -long events were kicked off at noon when the tractor pull took to the track at the Agricultural Park, followed by the horse pulling and games for kids of all ages. New to the Family Fun Day this year was the antique toy display. Two ex- hibitors took advantage of the shaded display area to show their wares. Following the feeding of aproximately 500 people at the pork barbeque, the varie- ty concert and crowning of Miss Dungan- non 1988 took place at Brookside School. Again, despite the extreme heat and the fact that the power at the school was lost just before the announcement of the new Queen, the capacity crowd in the auditorium certainly enjoyed themselves. Audrey Bos accepted the crown from last year's Queen Marcia Boak by flashlight as the gym was plunged into darkness just as Marcia was about to open the envelope.
