Helm annual reunion held
Descendants of Thomas Helm and
Elizabeth Jackson Helm in the form of a
fifty year reunion, met on Sunday, July
17th, 1988 at the home of Jim and Isabel
Hunter with attendance of 33.
A delicious potluck dinner was served in-
doors, tables outdoors. Clare and Gladys
Van Camp passed out the special serviet-
tes they donated.
President Clare Van Cainp thanked all
that attended. A minute's silence was
observed in memory of Mary (Mrs. Jim
McKay) of Brucelea Haven, Walkerton.
Business as follows:
Place of the reunion for 1989 will be at
the home of Clare and Gladys Van Camp
on the third Sunday in July at 1 p.m.

Linda Campbell and Violet Ritchie with
Violet winning the prize; lucky plate,
Roberta Whytock; Iucky cup, Allan Rit-
chie, nearest anniversary, Alex and Ella
Hackett; Anniversary closest to
December, Keith and Joyce Van Camp;
Guessing a number from 1 to 100, Isabel
Hunter; most change, Olive Campbell;
birthday close to February 14th, Joan
Helm; holding picnic, Jim and Isabel

Camp.
Joan Helm had the sports: - All children
running' race, Tenille Cranston; kick the
slipper, Patrick Ritchie; ball .throw;
Tenille Cranston. Wheelbarrow race,
Marybelle Cranston and daughter Tenille
Cranston. Horseshoe pitching and Croquet
ended the sports and a peanut scramble.
A large decorated cake donated by Jirn
and Isabel Hunter was passed around with
a cup of coffee to end the reunion.
Everyone went home happy planning to
meet in 1989 at Mr. and Mrs. Clare Van
Cambs, Belgrave.
