Approximately 3000 spec- tators attended the sanctioned pull, where $20,000 in purse money was up for grabs. The results are as follows: 5500 Super 1. Faye has broken and crushed ribs and internal injuries. Fay is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Penn- ington of near Picton and niece of Lil Mac- Donald of Dungannon. Monika and Sarah Taylor of Raleigh, Newfoundland, nieces of Sandra Rivett are staying the summer with Duane and Nan- cy Rivett, R. R. Goderich. Recent callers with Bill and Marie Park were Gordon Anderson, his daughter Margaret Mcisaac, and her son Gordon of Newwaterford, Nova Scotia. Brenda and Tammy Fancy of Niagara - on -the -Lake, were camping at Donnybrook this weekend and dropped in on Bill and Marie Park Brad and Marie spent a couple of days in London and stayed with Ralph and. Pat Hill and family. Jamie Chisholm of Port Albert is spen- ding a few days with Brad Park. There were seven tables at the Senior Citizen card party, despite the heat, on Wednesday night. High man Eldon Culbert; low man, Elmer Trommer; high lady, Evelyn Errington; low lady, Kathleen Glenn. Cindy and Brain McCallum of Banff, Alberta are home for a couple of weeks. They are staying with Brian's mother in Goderich. Thursday they visited with her Aunt Bonnie, Clair, ,Karen and Bradley Hodges. On Sunday, they visited with her Aunt Carol, AlliSter, Barry, Debbie, Bren- da and Barbara Nivins, and grandfather, Eldon Culbert: Cindy is the daughter of Mary Jardine and lived in Dungannon a few years back. New comers to the village are Bill and Mary Mole and daughters, Julie and Bar- bara. They purchased the home of John and Valerie Johnston and sons, Doug and Gerry, who moved to the Whitechurch- Teeswater area. There was a large get-together at the fame of Art and Mary Stewart on Sunday 'to celebrate the July birthdays. Thirty- four of Art's cousins from United States and 13 of Art and Mary's family attended. Gordon Stewart and his wife Ethel and Monika and her husband Paul of Calgary dropped in for a visit also. They enjoyed two pot luck meals during the day. Dungannon Women's Institute The Dungannon Women's Institute held its July meeting at Goderich Harbor Park in the form of a pot -luck picnic. Owing to hot weather and holiday time.there was a very small attendance. After the meal Alma Black presided for a short meeting. Secretary -treasurer Roberta Linskill read a letter from Goderich Museum asking for quilts for the annual quilt show which is being held in August this year. • pennies for Friendship were collected, one penny for each inch of one's waistline. The next meeting will be held at the home of Marian Zinn August 4 at 8 p.m. A number of interesting games and con- tests were conducted by Convener Joan Doughtery. Joan also put the group through some strenuous exercises. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
