Allan operates his hydro and plumbing business from his new shop at the corner of Malcolm and Blake Streets across from the Huron Township Garage (Dan Carteroffice). Listed in cattle sales Recently two farmers Bob Blackwell at the second corner south of Ripley (the Shirl Bowers farm) and Gordon Roulston just west of the Olivet Corner, the next one south, were listed in the weekly cattle sales at Brussels. Lions club barbecue meeting The first meeting to set up the popular roast beef barbecue put on by the Ripley Lions Club was held at the home of Lion Wally and wife Elaine. Pollock across from St. Andrews United church. Present at it were President Grant McDonald and Lions John D: MacKay, Don MacTavish, Wally Pollock and Bob Blackwell Jr. First the date and place were set - Sunday, July 24, 1988 and in the Ripley Huron Com- munity Centre Complex. They are selling advance tickets from any Ripley Lion. Tickets at the door. Visiting in Ripley Recent visitors with Leslie, Dorothy and Henry Wardell on the 4th were Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wareham, Lauren and Jamie of Ed- monton. On their way down here from the West they visited relatives and friends on Manitoulin Island, in Tiverton, Kitchener, Alliston and Cambridge. Then they are spending July visiting with Calvin's relatives in Newfoundland. Former parish member earns Divinity Degree Congratulations to former parish and school member, Kathleen O'Keefe daughter of Mr. and M.S. Joe O'Keefe now of Goderich, who received her Master of Divinity Degree from King's College, University of Western, Ontario on Friday, June 10th. We ask God's blessings on Kathleen and wish her well in all her endeavours. Monday, June 13 and Wednesday, June 15 next year's Kindergarten students had a chance to experience what the real thing will be like when they spent a half-day orientation day with this year's students.
