These three wee ones enjoyed the new play gym at Holyrood Play School on Satur-
day while their parents were off browsing through the yard sale items. Making use of
the new play station are Lacey Murray, Braden Carruthers and Micheller Car-
ruthers. (Pat Livingston photo)
A place to play
The Holyrood playschool now boasts a
brand new indoor gym thanks to the dona-
tions of many area residents.
William Dickie put 30 hours of labour in-
to building the play -gym. Assistance in ob-
taining the matertials for the structure
was received from Henderson Lumber,
who discounted their supplies for the pro-
ject; Bruce Colwell, who donatedthe nylon
for the slide' E. Parker Plumbing and
Heating who donated the fireman's pole;
and Aunt Remelda's in Teeswater who
provided the canopy.
The playschool is open every Thursday
morning for pre-school children. Current-
ly, about 20 youngsters take advantage of
the program with area Mom's co-
operatively overseeing its operation.
Last Saturday, a garage and book sale
was held to raise money for new toys and
to help cover the general expenses of the
school.
