Business attended to included the passing of a by-law to authorize the Corporation of the Township of Ashfield to proceed with the construction of a new bridge at Lots 9 and 10, Concession 7. Council also saw fit 4 the meeting to pass a by-law revising the Ashfield Zoning By -Law. The new by-law was necessary to recognize the existing mill and residence operated by Mr. Gary Dauphin on Lot 10, Concession 4. A decision on a request for rezoning by Mr. James Hogg to allow a residence on his property on Part -Lot 7, Concession 4 was deffered until further information could be provided to council for consideration. Hazelden-Evans St. Peter's Anglican Church in Lucknow was the site of the exchange of wedding vows between Donna Lois Hazelden, daughter of Gladys and Lester Hazelden of Lucknow, and Brian John Evans, son of Elsie and Orville Evans of Whitby. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Merelyn Letson on April 9, 1988. Attending the bride were Matron of Honour Diana Lynn Peck and Bridesmaid Amanda Anne Peck, both of Lucknow. Teleia Eaton of Welland handled the duties of flowergirl. Marcel Stanford of London acted as Groomsman and guests were ushered by Robert Peck, Lucknow, and Joshua Evans of Whitby. Following the lovely spring ceremony, a reception was held at the Lucknow Legion. The happy couple honeymooned at the Benmiller Inn and will reside in Lucknow. Here, .Guides Jackie Murray and Dawne Hamilton make an easy sale to Mrs. Jane Hamilton and Mrs. Jean Hughes. As always, the annual cookie campaign was a huge success...and the cookies were pretty good too (Pat Livingston photo) VANDERWOUDE - Doug and Marilyn of Wingham are pleased to announce the safe arrival of a brand new baby girl, Megan Nicole, on May 18, 1988 at the Wingham and District Hospital. Megan weighed in at 8 lbs. 4 ozs. at her birth. Proud grand- parents include Mrs. Isabel Congram and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Vanderwoude. MILLER - Jack and Judy are happy to an- nounce the safe arrival of their son, Justin" William, on May 18, 1988. Justin weighed in at 5 lbs. 15 ozs at his birth and is a brother for Nathaniel. Proud grandparents are BIRTHS George and Marg Osmond of Goderich and Eric and Betty Miller of Nile. FRAYNE - Jim, Mary and their proud daughter Catherine are delighted to an- nounce the safe arrival of Rachel Elizabeth on May 13, 1988 at Alexandra and Marine General Hospital in Goderich. A new grandchild for Fraser and Doris MacKinnon of Lucknow and Eugene and Betty Frayne of Kingsbridge. HIUSSER - Brad and Tammy are happy to announce the arrival of a new daughter, Amanda Lynn, on May 22, 1988. Amanda weighed in at 7 lbs. 8 ozs. at her birth at the Wingham and District Hospital and is a new sister for Crystal and Bradley. SCAMMEL - Terry and Carol are very pleased to announce the birth of a new son, Adam Wesley Steven, born May 23, 1988 at the Wingham and District Hospital. Weighing in at 5 lbs., 12 ozs. at his birth, Adam is a wee brother for Andrew. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wes Rut- ter and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Scammell, all Miller - Thompson Wedding vows were exchanged on March 26, 1988 at the Union Presbyterian Church, Halton Hills, between Amy Lynn Thompson, daughter of Roy and Heather Ann Thompson of Georgetown, and Douglas Bern Miller, son of Eileen Miller and the late Allan Miller of Lucknow. Attending the bride were Lynda Thomp- son, sister of the bride; Lori Minow, sister of the groom; and Carolyn Crawford and Tracy Robinson, friends of the bride. The groom's attendants were Lynn Miller, brother of the groom; David Thompson, brother of the bride; and Scott Harris and Stuart McPhail, friends of the groom. A reception was held at Innis Lake Hall. Following a Caribbean honeymoon, the couple are residing in Brampton where Doug is employed with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Amy, is employed with Canadian Medical Laboratories. of Wingham. Great grandparents are Wilfred Clipperton of Whitechurch, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bisnoski, Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Mac Dividson of Listowel, and Mrs. Ernie Sapwell of Stratford.
