Taking a brief, but well deserved break are Danielle Cranston, Lynda Lyons, Kristen O'Neill, Julie Carter, Crystal Brindley, Denise Black, Alesha Moffat and Adella Andrew. After the papers are collected, they have to be tied, check- ed for glossy inserts and loaded into this container to be shipped for recycling. The ef- forts of those involved nets the group approximately $32 per ton of paper. The girls gathered about seven tons on Saturday and the funds will go to the expenses of the various groups involved. (Pat Livingston photo) Time for fish stories "The Talk of The Town" Frank and Donalda Houghton of Bramp- ton have purchased the home that was owned by her mother, Mrs. Eva McQuaig on Havelock St. We have heard of other real estate deals around town so will try to keep you up to date as moves take place. Congratulations to Cliff and Caroline Menary who were married May 12th. May they have many years of happy married life together. Jenny, Jeff and Matthew Loree of Listowel spent the long weekend with their grandparents, Austin and Mildred Loree. UCKNOW By Mildred Loree This is the weekend for fishing derbies. A little fellow who was fishing off the end of a pier lost his balance while trying to land a fish and fell in the lake. Several men who also were fishing nearby rushed to his aid and pulled him out. "How did you come to fall in?" one of the men asked him. "I didn't come to fall in," the kid said, "I came to fish."
