The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge being repeated by the five members and two leaders in attendance. Home activities were taken up and dates for further meetings were set. Since it was raining on the day of this meeting, the group decided to hold as much of their meeting as they could inside. Hopefully, meeting five will be blessed with better weather. Further activities held included a true and false quiz about endangered species, and a lesson in photography which everyone found to be very interesting. Plans were made for a trip to Point Farms and in preparation the group made "trench candles". They can't wait to get out and try them now. Following a snack prepared by Joan Helm, the meeting was closed until next time. Softball in Ripley Minor Softball in Ripley will be operating with a Mite Boys and Bantam Boys team for 1988. These were the only categories in which sufficient amount of players were registered. It is unfortunate that those who wished to play can not do so. If these players wish to recruit more friends to form a team, they will be accomodated until May 16. Refunds can be obtained from the Huron Township, Clerk -Treasurer, Marlene Colling at the of- fices under the Medical Centre in Ripley. Organizers regret having to do this and hope that next year more players will register and additional teams formed. T -Ball will operate again this season. Watch for further information to follow at a later date. Recreation is also in the process of begin- ning a floor hockey program at the Ripley High School. It will probably begin sometime in June if enough interest is shown. Again, watch for more information. Also a reminder to anyone wishing to pur- chase a Ripley Minor Hockey jacket, that you may be sized between May 10 and May 17 at Scoreboard Sports in Kincardine. For any information regarding the above information, contact Dan Wilken at 395-3668.
