The Kingsbridge Community School
Committee held a meeting on Tuesday,
April 12th when a new executive was
elected consisting of President - Betty -Lou
Dalton; Vice President - Dianne Wisser;
Secretary - Marrianne Hogan and
Treasurer Jack Simpson. Various ideas
were discussed for the upcoming year.
A very successful Grand Opening was
held at the Life Centre on the Square in
Goderich on Friday, Apirl 15th with
several ladies from the parish being very
instrumental in the setting up of the office.
As well, several lames nave very
generously volunteered their time to be
present in the office to answer the phone
and offer counselling to those requesting
help but there is still a great need for more
volunteers to help out.
The Catholic Women's League held an
executive meeting Thursday evening at
the home of president Denise Dalton. This
was the first meeting of the new executive
and many ideas & plans were discussed for
future meetings & activities.
The Youth Club held a meeting Sunday
evening, April 17th in the school.
School trustee Bernie Van Osch and two
other members of the Parish Community
attended' the opening ceremonies of
Education Week in Ontario which this year
were held in Stratford. Attending, as well,
Were several staff members from St.
Joseph's.
A very successful Science Fair, which
demonstrated a great range of imagina-
tion and talent, was held in the school Mon-
day, Tuesday and Wednesday, the llth,

Huron -Perth finals in Stratford on April
18th and 19th.
Following is a list of the winners: in the
grade 7/8 division 1st Jane Brophy, 2nd
Rachael Brophy; 3rd Amy Olson and 4th
Damien Martin. The winners in the 5/6
division were 1st Erin Hickey; 2nd Joseph
Brophy; 3rd Heidi Martin and 4th Aaron
Hackett. In the grade 3/4 division the win-
ners were 1st Ed Courtney, 2nd Cory
Sheratt, 3th Amanda Hickey and 4th Becky
Martin. In the Primary Division of K-2 the
winners were 1st Jonathon Chilton, 2nd
Bridget Hogan, 3rd Dominic Ritgen and
4th Mark Van Diepenbeek. Each of the
winners in all of the divisions received a
trophy in recognition of their efforts. Con-
gratulations to all the participants and
particularly the winners and good luck to
those advancing to the system finals.
The St. Joseph's Student Council held a
very successful dance Friday, evening
April 15th at the school with gtlests atten-
ding from Sacred Heart Wingham, St.
Mary's Goderich, St. Joseph's Clinton and
St. Patrick's Dublin. The music, which
was greatly enjoyed, was provided by Dr.
Music, a D.J. from Waterloo.
Education Week in Ontario is being
celebrated at St. Joseph's with the follow-
