Easter holiday brings visits from afar
Shawn and Michael McEwan, sons of
Mr. and Mrs. Doug McEwan, received
their yellow belts in Karate on Monday at
Ripley. Congratulations lads! Their in-
structor is Mr. John Ball who teaches a
class every, Wed. evening at Ripley.
Mr. and Mrs. William MacPherson of
con. 10 visited on Monday with Mr. and
Mrs. John Scott at Ripley. v
Visitors with Edna and May Boyle were
Rev. and Mrs. George Garratt of Kincar-
dine, Mrs. Doug McEwan, Mrs. Ellwood
Elliott and Janice Eadie and Mr. and Mrs.
Clare Sparling of Walkerton on Good
Friday. .
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Rhody and family„
along with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rhody and
family of London spent Easter here with
and Mrs. Gerald Rhody.
Mr. and Mrs. Geroge Bushell and family
from Ottawa were here for Easter
weekend. His father, Edbert Bushell, who
had been hospitalized, was only home a
short time when he had to return to the
Kincardine and Distr_t Hospital. We all
wish him improved health.
Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Nielsen and family of
Bracebridge spent Easter weekend with
Janet's parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell.

On Monday, a lovely family gathering
and dinner was enjoyed at Mrs. John
Barr's home. Those present were her son
Mr. Russell Barr of Durban, South Africa;
Mr. and Mrs. Morley (Doris) Bushell of
Wingham; Mr. Donald Barr of Waterloo;
Cpt. Darrell Barr of Air Base Trenton;
Miss Cynthia Barr. of Toronto and Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Barr from here.
Callers during the week with Mrs. John
Barr, besides her family, were Mrs. Olive
Needham, Mrs. Nancy McIntyre and
Heather, Mrs. Glen Haldenby and Mrs.
Frank Moulden of here.
Mr. and % 3. Howard Whiteside of
Toronto spent the weekend with her father
Mr. Arthur Haldenby.
Dinner guests on Sunday night with Mr.
and Mrs. Leonard Stanley, Cathy and
Terry were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Doerr and
Kelly of Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Tony
Howal'd of Lucknow; Miss Cindy Stanley of
Orillia; Barry Smith of Lucknow; Mike
Burrows of Kincardine; Miss Debbie
Mr. and Mrs. Ted McClenaghen of Kit-
chener visited last week with Mildred Mc-
Clenaghen. Ted and Vera had just return-
ed from a three week trip to California
where they visited with some of the Jim
McClenaghen family. Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence McClenaghen of Kincardine also
joined Ted and Vera at Mildred's last
week.
On Sunday last, John McKinnon and
Mildren McClenaghen visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Russel Jervis of Clinton and attended
church there. They also took in the 80th
birthday of Jessie Jones, a resident of
Huronview, held at the Victoria United
Church. Jessie is a relative of Mildred's.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Wilhelm,' a neice of
Mrs. Clifford Laidlaw from Virginia, and
her three grandchildren from Mississaga

Michelle of Kitchener, and Michael Sider.

Mr. and Mrs. John Scheeringa and
Meagan, Brantford, visited last week with
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Pardon. Kendra Pur -
don of Kitchener was also home for the
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross visited Tuesday
with Mr. and Mrs. George Ross or Owen
Sound.

Congratulations to the Lucknow Pee
Wee Hockey team that won the All Ontario
Pee Wee D.D. Championship. Terry
Stanley was one of the members of the
team. Good going fellows.

Bell and Heather of Kincardine.
Visitors over Easter with Mr. and Mrs.
Bill MacPherson of Holyrood were Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Schoffer, London, and Dean
Wilson of Stoney Creek.
Mrs. Bessie Maulden was a dinner guest
on Sunday at the MacPherson home as
well.
The top money earners in the recent Skate-a-thon were presented with their winnings
this week. Left to right are Mitchell Harris, third; Dwayne Harris, second; Kinsmen
president Steve Chamney; and Michelle Andrew, first, who collected pledges totalling
$157. Honorable mention must go to Curt Humphrey, Margo Abbott, Sandra Alton,
Robert Kugler and Tanya Mage. Skaters are reminded that all pledges are now due.
