Wm. Purdon and Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt in Wingham. Miss Beatrice McQuillan of Lucknow visited last week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Purdon. Mrs. Doris McKinnon of Lucknow, and Mrs. Norma Wilson, Hamilton visited one day last week with Mrs. Hugh Simpson. Mrs. Agnes Farrier returned from Florida on Thursday. Mrs. and Mrs. John Scheeringa and daughter Meagan visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Purdon. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Terry Zinn (Colleen Adams), who were married on Sat. Afternoon in the Whitechurch United Church. A large crowd attended the reception that evening in the Lucknow Community Centre. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Adams of Kit- chener visited on the week -end with Mrs. Pauline Adams and attended the wedding on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Rody Inglis of Earleton were also weekend guests at the Adams home. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and Karen visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. David Elliott of Owen Sound. Mrs. Barbara Carey of Kitchener visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Purdon. Baptism was held on Sunday morning during the morning service at Chalmers Presbyterian Church in Whitechurch when William Cole McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McDonald, was baptized. At the same service, Mrs. John Neilson and Mrs. Wm. McDonald were received into the church as members by certificate. PURPLE GROVE 1 Purple Grove says Welcome Home June and Earl Elliott. They have wintered in Bokeelia Florida. Don and Anne McCosh were Thursday guests of Eleanor and Carl .Hemmingway, Brussels. Barbara and Allan Brown of Toronto spent the weekend with their parents Isabel and Jim Brook. Gladys Arnold visited with Mary Hedley, Teeswater, on Thursday. Sincere sympathy to the wife and family of Mr. Ernie Hanna who was laid to rest Thursday. He was a "life-long" resident of Concession 10, Kinloss. Bette McLeod is in the process of moving back to her farm on Conc. 4 - from her village apartment in Mrs. Marion Gamble's home. Get well wishes to George McLean who is a patient in Kincardine Hospital. The Grove Study Group met at Eileen.- Clark's on Tuesday a.m. Kay Collins, Dianne, Christine, Jennifer and Jaimee Jones were Sunday visitors with Don and Anne McCosh. Mrs. Vera Blackett of Glencoe passed away. Sympathy to hubby John and son Michel. Marjorie Thompson is holidaying at the home of her son Bert Thompson. Murray and Gertie Henderson spent Sun- day with Don and Marilyn Reid. Jim Farrell attended the Organic Farm- ing Seminar at Armow, sponsored by the Ecological Farmers' Association of Ontario, on Friday. Cathy Aiken, Scott and Paul visited Jim and Fran Farrell on Saturday evening. Peter and Susan Roberts and Garett visited Jack and Janet Farrell for the weekend. On Sunday Wilfred and Dianne Gamble, Bev and Marion Cliffe visited them. John and Barb Gamble took Marion Gam- ble to Chatham on Saturday. Marion is spen- ding a few days with Evelyn Smith there and with Mr. and Mrs. Price in Essex.
