Cub Report
By Danny Wylds
This is the monthly Cub report for the
month of February and this month was one
which kept us busy and having lots of fun
with crafts and games.
This month we discussed Baden Powel,
the man who initiated Cubs and Scouts.
Last month, a policeman came and
spoke to us about peer pressure and we
also had a fake robbery and mock trial.
On February 21 we had a church parade
and a winter camp. At the winter camp we
acted out skits, painted clay and played
games. It was a great time for everyone
and we'd like to thank the parents who
helped out.
Spring is just around the corner and we
have a lot planned so, Cubs, be preparAd.
One other note from our leaders: a
special thank -you goes out to Ian Hackett
and Dave Bere at Dungannon Custom
Builders for cutting the wolf heads for us.
Members urge you to sign the petitions
to be circulated by the South Bruce group
in the coming months. The petition states,
"All human beings are born freeand equal
in dignity and rights." This is the historic
promise of the Universal Declaration of
Human. Rights, proclaimed by govern-
ments in the United Nations 40 years ago.
The appeal will be presented on behalf of
all signatories to the United Nations and
government representatives on Human
Rights Day : Dec. 10, 1988.
Watch for other public events to be
featured as part of the local campaign. For
further information on this and on the
workings of the South Bruce Group please
