It may not be Calgary, but Lucknow certainly has its own Olympic flame thanks to the
work of the students from the Lucknow Christian School. The huge torch is visible
from a long distance and gets almost daily attention from the artists who designed it.
Also on the site is a huge luge track, complete with a snow sculpted althlete. (Rob

On Tuesday evening, last week a capaci-
ty crowd filled St. Joseph's Parish Hall to
hear Constable Dave Packer, the Metro
Toronto policeman who refused guard du-
ty at the Morgentaler Abortion Clinic and
as a consequence faces the loss of his job.
Following an excellent talk Constable
Packer answered questions from the au-
dience concerning the abortion issue and
the recent decision rendered by the
Supreme Court of Canada.
Constable Packer emphasized the fact
that with the acceptance of abortion, infan-
ticide and euthanasia are inevitable, and
the moral fibre of society thus severely
damaged.
Refreshments were served following the
presentation by Constable Packer. All pre-
sent were greatly impressed and touched
by Constable Packer's message.

took place at both liturgies. Weekdays dur-
ing Lent Father will be offering Mass at
12:00 noon in the school gym.
