COMING this summer. Following a
discussion the motion was made by Anna
Mae McDougall and seconded by Mary
Lavis, that we spend a maximum of $200.00
to help upgrade the flower boxes on main
street and plant trees.
Plans are in the making to "Adopt a
Geranium Project", with the children at
the Lucknow Public School
There was a lengthy business period as it
has been several months since we have
had a business meeting. Mrs. Harry Lavis
will be the contact person who will be look-
ing after the Easter Lilies for the eight
local churches for Easter.
Margaret Burkhart showed some "Can-
did Camera Slides", from Elmer Um-
bach's party held in the Community Cen-
tre last October. These slides brought
many laughs for everyone. We closed with
The Queen and a social period was en-
joyed. The Committee in charge were -
Shirley Brooks, Gwen Lennips, Ileen
Greer and Margaret Burkhart.
The Lucknow and District Horticultural Society were impressed with the "Gardens in
a Bottle" displayed by some of the students of Mrs. Kathryn Campbell's Grade 2-3
class last Wednesday, The students planted their gardens in September using garden
soil and tiny slips from various plants. The seven students who attended the meeting
to display their gardens were, left to right, Sarah Fallis, Kristi Cranston, George
Carter, Trevor Summers, Martyn VanMeeteren, Julie Gollan and Mathew Eadie.
