When you go out in the morning and see
that mound of snow at the end of your
driveway or sidewalk, your first reaction
is "Oh, no, not again! " As you take hold of
the snow shovel you think of those guys on
the snowplow that filled you in once again.
If you should have an occasion to drive
around any of the back streets in the ma-
jority of the neighbouring towns in the
area you can't help but be amazed. They
are rough, icy, filled with ruts and
potholes. You say to yourself, they should
come to Lucknow and take a few lessons on
how to look after their streets.
We really do appreciate the efforts of the
Lucknow Works Department for their
faithful endeavours. So to Gary Austin and
Doug Haldenby our hats are off to you for a
job well done!
Have you noticed that Jack Henderson
isn't around shovelling the sidewalks
anymore? Jack moved to Brucelea Haven
in Walkerton around Christmas time and
we wish him all, the best in his new
surroundings.
