In the Ladies' Division, the Lucknow Lazers captured the 'A' Championship by defeating the Blyth Baintoneers 2 - 0 in the first game; the Mildmay Jets 3 - 2 in a close overtime contest and in the final championship game held Sunday, Lucknow defeated last year's regional champs, Waterloo by a score of 1 - 0. Coach of the ladies' team, Steve Chamney, reported that the ladies played excellent broomball all weekend and were deserving of the championship win. In the four division men's side of the event, the Lanesville Lords emerged at the 'AA' champs. They defeated the Hangover Hawks 3 - 2 in their first game and advanc- ed to the finals by downing the Cargill Rookies 1 - 0. In the exciting' final, the Lords defeated the Glammis Flyers 1 - 0. The Flyers are reportedly a very elite team with some top-notch players and the Lords should be quite proud of their win.
