IN FLANDERS FIELDS`
On November 1 l 1 a taayi think of my Grandpa .MeFaddin. It
was always a special for him: November the i lth was the
day his first child, my Aunt Isabel, was born,,, November 1.1 was
the day he was buried in a field overlooking his farm. The field
grows with flowers much, like the poppies in Flanders fields.
November II was the day 'over all others that my Grandpa
remembered the war: Though he was not hurt physically in all
his battles, he was mentally tormented, 'Phis is because he was
in the battle of Dieppe. This battle was when the Allies landed
on the shore line of Dieppe and: then were ambushed. Many of
my Grandfather's friends were killed. He was lucky to live. My
grandpa always found it difficult 'to talk about the war, My
grandpa would always have bad d'r+eam about the war.
My grandpa was a great Canadian citizen. He served our
homeland, Canada. He helped us defeat the Germans and wits
the war. My grandpa. fought all through France and Belgium. He
stood up for what he believed in.
On November 11 this year I'll remember my Grandpa
McFaddin who lies, in his field of flowers, I will also remember
allthe mein who do lie in Flanders fields. •
