After a bountiful lunch, Laura Sterner brought the meet- ing to order by reading some verses "The End of Summer." • Ella Hackett and Jean MacLeod were the pro- gram conveners and Ella welcomed everybody and read some verses on autumn. Jean Conley accompanied on her gui- tar, while the ladies sang There Shall be Showers of Messing. • Jean had the meditation. on "actions speak louder than words." We must remember that how we act or what we do may have a big influence on people around .us. It is not always easy to do right and so easy to do wrong. Our life is an open book and there are always children or youth who see us and it could influence them, so we must always remember not to yield to temptation. Jean closed with prayer. Shirley Bolt read a. poem "Reflections." We. see God's hands at work in.
