When asked if they would have dime anything different, their , reply was "No.". The years went by;quickly and were very enjoyable times for the Lucknow couple. Alice; Anna Barkwell.• was•born on the second - eoncession of Huron • Township, but when she and George met Alice was by then living .in Lucknow. George .Edward Taylor was born on the village's f`ttlain street, in the.house now owned by Jeff and Kristi: Gammie. Cupid struck :when: Alice was working ,at hall's Restaurant and Pool Room, where •George was • -a regular. On June 26, , 1948, they - two were married in Alice's mother's home; the current residence of Dave MacDonald on Campbell Street. Attending them. .were Dorothy (Gibsovn) Hamilton and 'Norman Taylor. . • Prior to their marriage, George worked at many local businesses around the town. • . In 1955, lie joined the Air .Force, The couple, along with their -children. as they were born. -saw many parts of Canada Starting . in British Coknnbia, then to Quebec, North Faiconbridge, Camp Borden, and then to'Ottawa in 19.77.
