Seems' there was a man who liven in Lucknow, from .the latter half of the X$, Qos until his death in 1913, who could be ferrite(' a "legend in his time:" Hes name was Jock Adams, .and- the story goes that Jock's name and Lucknow 'are practically , ynony- •mous." In. the .1058 centennial edition, we found an. article • akoutJock' and his faithful horse, Old Barney, it was written then that "oldtimersseldom reminisce .without ': recallinghis name, and so often has his; name been spa - ken that future' generations who did not`know him, 'have' .' almost come to believe they .did. We reprint here, that article: e was born in Ayrshire, Scotland in.1823, and came to Canada at the age of 30.
