This past March Break a group from
RE; Madill travelled to Italy,'France and
Switzerla'nd. Jill Baynton, Jennifer
Bushell, : `Sarah` • Exel, °Mrs. . " King-
Sherwood, and stridents from other
schools part cipated in this event. They
departed on March 16 and returned home
on March 20.
The trip; was open to anyone who is
currently taking French, The cost per stu-
dent was $2,000,: including everything
except hatch and spending money,
The students visited Roman Coliseum
and the Pantheon in Rome, In Florence,
Italy, the group saw "a beautiful church
made from different colors of marble, In
Switzerland they visited the city of
Lucerne and saw a very :old bridge, The
group also went up the Eiffel Tower in
Paris.
Mrs. King -Sherwood has been taking
students on. trips .to France and England
for the past five years. She believes, stu-
dents take ,home with them a"little Loom;
u derstanding of the different cultures:
-LA trip for next year has not been
• planned .yet because there may only be,
one week of March break. A trip maybe
organized for thesummer of 1999..
