Sixtieth wedding
anniversary wishes were
the greetings Oaf the day at
Pinecrest .Nursing Home
last week, when William
R. and Elva. Lowry
marked their diamond,
anniversary. .
They were married on.
April 16, 1938, in Huron
Township., where they
fanned all`thcir life on the
iOth concession. . They
moved to Ripley in the
fall of 1994. Mr. Lowry is
now a ' resident at
Pinecrest, and Mrs. Lowry
ontinues::to have her own.
apartment in Ripley.
During his active years,
Mr. Lowry had a keen:
-interest in municipa: poli-
tics and, served as reeve of
Duron Township. Mrs..
Lowry continues to be
active. in' the Women's
Institute, United ;Church
Women and seniors
group, ,
They have three chit-
drew " Ronald and Marilyn
Lowry, Audrey and hod
MacDonald, and Sharon.
