Sixteen senior CGIT members and:
leaders from Dungannon, Lucknow,
- Palmerston. and Kitchener participated in
a three day study "Journeying into the
World of Faith." Everyone helped in
deciding the theme,planning and carry-
ing out the program. The Red Maple Leaf
program has been done only in .a few
places in Ontario.
At Lucknow United Church on :Friday,
evening, March 13, participants gathered.
for an introduction to the study. The
activities included'. singing, get acquaint-
ed game, liturgal dance, a skit, a video
on Islam, craft and vespers.
Saturday's storm changed the plans for

Weekend experience were prepared.
These were shared after which Mildred
Loree, former Lucknow .leader, presented:
Red Maple Leaves to all participants,
A swim at Willits pool was enjoyed, A
game of multi -faith jeopardy was fiercely
competitive' as each team showed off its
new' knowledge. Some liturgical' dances
were done and Taps closing before, all
settled in for a movie and another
overnight together. "
Monday's., sunshine was welcome as
the group set off by bus to the Kitchener -
Cambridge area. At, the -Cedars, which is
Temple Shalom and Westminster United
Church built together, they viewed, the
Torah and heard Hebrew' scripture read
from it. • ,
The' group Was addressed 'by. two
Sisters of Lightat the Bramarishi Hindu.

' At the "Jami Mosque information about
Islam was shared by the -Chairman and a
teacher's aid from the school downstairs..
At' the 'Meeting Place, a Mennonite
interpretation centre in St. Jacobs, a
video was viewed and seven.' rooms of
displays were toured,, Many questions
were.answered at each visit.

On thesixth concession of
Ashfield, two miles west of the
gravel road, a 50 foot solid ,cement
bridge was underrr'iined and collapsed
into the Nine Mile River.
The bride as built 19 years ago by
Art Moore and was a substantial
cement:, structure reinforced , with
steel. The flood waters of the Nine
Mile Riverunderriained the east end
abutment' and caused the bridge to
collapse at "'that end and swing
northerly as it settled into the river
bed.
