`. Have you ever stopped and wondered,
what that person behind the,counterof
:the pharmacy- does with the prescriptions
'that your doctor gives you, or how he or
she isactually able to readthat prescrip-

Ever since My placement at Vance°s
Pharmacy in Wingham began,, I've been
• able to answer' what the pharmacist does
behind, counter, ;but the
question. still remains haw
,they can: read :t'he.doctor`s;
writing
Mr 'and Mrs. Lee Vance
and tt eir,'co.-workers have`.
been supplying: the essential;
• drugs to mir community to
help people in the Wingham
area feel better. •
- Since my first day on, the
job about one indrith ago; I
have been .welcomed .with a
'big smile, a friendly ''hello"
and *,a feeling, _of being needed to help
with the jobs, --"around .the°'store:.I .have
been very fortunate to,be•placed at this
• pharmacy because I now havethe.chance'
• to work by%tile of a pharmacist to seefirst
.hand what he does' experiences and
knows. Mr.. Vance does understand and
care at what they are doing with out
health today: , - .
A routine day at the pharmacy for ime

ers price and stock items fel* the store,
helping the customers ;with, their needs,
and light cleaning'and dusting..at the
front.. What I hope to gain from all, these
jobs isa-general knowledge ofthe differ-
ent types of drugs, their names and to .
accustom myself with the pharmaceutical
atmosphere ul%ke the customers and the
types of. Medications (tablets ointments;
etc.) available.
I have alreadyaccomplished many. of ...

chance; to seek answers to
my questions about a'type of

a; great placement at which I
can ask these questions, but
I have also gained the knowledge of the,

Without ibis:knowledge, I know that 'I
would find job >searching ;preparations„

not have concluded that pharmaceuticals,
is theline of work that I would like•to
