Only one full council acclaimed
Lucknow woman dies in accident
A young Lucknow
woman was killed in a car•
accident on Oct. 12 about
2 a.m. in the morning.
Melissa Hare, 19, the
granddaughter of. Joyce
Johnstone, was in a car
driven by Cheryl Allen,
19, of Morris Township,
who also died.
Another passenger,,
ruce Tanner, 22, of
Wingham, was treated in a
London hospital for non-
life -threatening injuries.
The accident occurred
on North Street in
Mulberry Township when
the vehicle went out of
control on loose gravel,
entered the .left ditch and
smack a hydro pole.
Melissa was in her third
semester of the Registered
actical Nursing, program
at Conestoga College. She
wasa volunteer at
Pinecrest Manor Nursing
Ho: e, Lucknow and the
KW General Hospital. In
between her studies,
Melissa worked part time
at the Little Angel's Day
Care, in Harriston, and
Sandy's Family `'estaurant
in Mildmay.. Fier aunt,
Linda Johnston, said she
was a young woman who
touched the life of every-
one she came in contact
with.
