men's sly -pitch
The Nile team returned to the Lucknow-Dungannon
slo-pitch league after several years in the Goderich
league and came out on top of the 11 -team league with a
record of 17 wins against two losses. This edged out. the
defending champions Lucknow Slimmers who ended
the season with a record of 16 wins vs 4 losses.
At the wrap-up meeting, the league voted .to give
$1,000 to the Lucknow and District Kinsmen club to go
towards their debt from improvements made the
Caledonia Park diamond. Their work greatly improved
playing conditions for both the slo-pitch Teague and
,Ivt ai uuiu oawteams.
Below are the final standings for the season. Not all
teams vve"re able to play the complete 21 -game schedule
due to weather conditions.
