COOK Ivan Gerald Cook, 58, of Ripley, passed away at the Kincardine hospital on Sept. 23, 1997. He was an employee of Huron Township and a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Ripley. Mr. Cook was, a vol- unteer firefighter with the Ripley Huron Fire Department for ' 25 .years and served in the past as fire chief. Mr. Cook was born in Wingham on Jan. " 1'6, 1939, a son of Peter and -Evelyn (Reid) Cook. He.. is survived by his .wife Betty (Swan), children .Susan Cook of Ripley, Ronald and Brenda Cook of Kincardine, Darren and Jennifer Cook of Fergus and Colleen Cook and Murray of London; two • grandsons Bryan Cook and Riley Cook; his 'parents Peter and Evelyn.. MCCREATH William Patterson McCreath, of Ripley, a World War 11 veteran who served with the Canadian Air Force, passed' away at Victoria Hospital, London, on •Sept. 24, 1997, in his 75th year. Mr. McCreath was born on Nov. 14, 1922, in Nelson, British Columbia. He•was a son of the late Harry and Ethel (Armstrong) McCreath. The Ripley busi-. , nessman was a graduate of the Stratford Normal School. He servedas clerk for the village of Ripley from 1967 to 1984, ;and for many. years was the funeral direc- tor and owner of MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Hgme in, Ripley.
