Karen Lowe from Women's House of Bruce County was the guest speaker talking about wife abuse.. It is not a new problem( but there is more known about the 'violence that is so widespread. Wifo assault happens to many women; at all income and education lev- els, in all social classes, in all religious and ethnic groups. We can help by sup- porting these women and giving them more infor- mation on the opportuni- ties available. Pamphlets can be placed in doctors, and lawyers offices as well as volunteers are always needed at the home in Kincardine. First vice' president, Shirley McCall of Kincardine welcomed 16 WMS . groups and opened the meeting, with an intro- duction of the theme and asking How can we make a difference? She read "I' - Love That Word, Impossibld," and led in prayer. The devotions were led' by the Lucknow •NTS with Donalda Moffat read- ing the . scripture 11f Corinthians chapter 13 and Norma Raynard giv- ing the mediation on "Love that is a language everyone understands."
