Insearch of a soothing wake-up call
I've decided there has
to be a ,better way of
being awakened then . the
traditional alarm clock or
clock radio. Particularly
now that fall has arrived,
and all I really want to
do in the morning is bur-
row further into 'my
cocoon of warm blan-
kets. •
Can you identify with
this?
I don't want my heart
to jump out. of my body
when that awful buzzing
starts at 6 a.m. I don't
want to have to leave the
warmth of my bed to tum
off that offensive noise,
or hit the snooze button, -
all the while trying to
ignore the shot of adren-
aline rely. body 'las just
received.,
I want be awakened
by something soothing.
Someone .shaking my
shoulder - gently -. and:
saying softly "It's time to
get up."
It would really be nice
if a cup of coffee was
offered, too. I, could rim-
ply curl up on my pil-
lows, enjoy the shot. of.
;caffeine and contemplate
the .`day, before my size:
1 s touched the floor.
Seeing as my partner in
this life leaves the house;
much, much earlier,. I
haven't a hope of this
wild fantasy coming true.
Looking at things real-
istically, I have to'come

fall weather either.
I.have a clock radio,
so I could have the radio
coarse on instead of the
alarm..
Now, do I want to
wake up to Matt in the
morning or Philthe
main man of the morn-
ing.
You see my little clock
radio only brings' in two
stations.- CKNX. AM or
FM.
My musical inclina-
tions tend to say "choose
Phil", and this is where
'the dial is already set.
Phil and Naughty Scotty
have been my compan-
ions for a long time. It's
their voices, that keep me
froip,;,being lonely as I
prepare for work.
However, I do enjoy
the new country music
too.
But dol really want to
awaken to soft rock or
country?
My choice would be,
one of those nature tapes
- birds chirping, water
falls, frogs croaking
But I haven't figure out
how to make this work. I
could have speakers
installed in my bedroom
but my mini stereo .sys-

room, doesn't have a
timer on it.
Guess, I'll have tb
contemplate this problem
a little longer - a buzzing
