In November, 1995, 2. Mike Jackson has of fi-

policy, 10 board chairs of
the hospitals. in thenoun-

would need to be done to
preserve the •integrity of
rural health care• in
Ontario.
In January 1996, the
boards °fthe five facilities
in South Bruce Grey
examined the feasibility
.,working together '`and co-
operating to preserve
health care in their Corin
munities. Four of these
boards recognized the
need for change and
agreed to merge their
operations into a single
organization.
The South Bruce Grey
Rural Health Organization
has continued towards its
Objectives and has wit-
nessed'the development of
a ruralhealth policy docu-
ment and framework.
We •are pleased to
. announce the following:
1: •Seventy-two names
were submitted to name
the new; amalgamated
health facility. Three
naives were selectedand
submitted for approval.
Our new name will be
announced shortly
cially taken over as CEP
of the combined organiza-
tion: •
3, The management com-
mittee and its solicitor
have been working on the
draft legal documentation
requested •by 'the Ministry
of Health. These drafts
documents have now • been.
completed' and forwarded
to the Ministry . for
approval.
