One thing has' certainly
changed over 50 yearn of
marriage for Betty and
Harold Humphrey the
number around the table at
meal times is smaller .for
the parents of seven chil-
dren.
It was 50 years ago

1947). that Betty (England)
and Harold were united in
marriage by Rev.. Angus
Smith at the South. Kinloss
Presbyterian Church
Both of them were
working a t the ,furniture
factory in Lucknow at that
time, and "Harold had
already done five years
service in the army.. Like.
many couples from the
urea, they seem to recall
theymet at one of the

They farmed for • about
five years, then Harold
was employed with Sandy
Contracting in• Ooderich
for about 13 years. When
Harold retired . it was after
20 years with Ontario.'

Betty' was kept busy
