Cha'r0es Elgin Webster, of
Lucknow, passed away at
the Wingham and District
Hospital, on Aug, 2, 1997, in
his 87th year. For many
Years Mr. Webster was a
businessman in Lucknow
operating a clothing store
and hardware store. He was
a member of the Lucknow
United Church, the Old Light
Masonic Lodge #184 and
the Lucknow Lions: Mr.,
Webster was an avid sports.
fan and participant having'
played balland hockey for
Lucknow teams over a span
of many years, ,:as well ,as
refereeing. Mr. Webster was'
born on April 9, 1911, a son
of the late Richard and ,
Annie (Gives) Webster. He
is survived by his wife Hazel
(Holmes), a daughter, Judy
and her husband Wayne
Brooks, of Kitchener; sisters
Dolly , Johnstone of
Lucknow, Flora Webster of
Lucknow ' and Marjorie
Webster. of Lucknow; two
grandchildren, Craig Brooks
of Kitchener, Shelley and
her husband Mike LeBlanc
of Cambridge, and two great
grandchildren, Madison and
Riley.. Mr. Webster was pre-
