Kinloss Township,.

Council hears about changes to gravel pu regulations
Kinloss council has accepted the drainage works sub-
mitted by John Husk for the west half of lot 5, conc. 10,
for an extension to the Pollard municipal drain.
Maitland Engineering will be used as engineers for
the work.
Landfill
Maitland Engineering is involved in getting Golder
Associates to install the necessary monitoring wells .at
the landfill site. Maitland will look into whether one or
two wells are necessary, however .this may have to be
determined at the time of installation.
Gravel pits
Henry, Clark, road superintendent, ,attended a
Ministry of Natural Resources meeting to learn about
the new.. regulations in effect for all licensed gravel pit
owners... -. . •

•At council's Aug, 5. meeting, Clark explained the
reporting procedures and changes to the program.
Clark.will be responsible for carrying outwhat duties
are 'required in this new program for the municipality's-
. gravel pit at lot 20, cone. 4.
Council, asked Clark to ensure that.. fencing and gates
are ,properly erected -and maintained at the township
gravelpit as per the municipality's plan.
Collective agreement
Council met with road employees and a representa-
tive of the International Union of Operating Engineers,
Local 793, in committee of the whole. The parties
reached a consensus on the collective agreement which
expired at the end of May 1997.
Bridges •
Bruce Clavette, cord Fletcher, Ken Christner and
Doug Reid, all of Paradise Lakes, talked to council
about their concerns surrounding. the sale of the CIN
bridges. Areas of concern were debris left behind, leach-
ing and safety. °
Council assured the delegation that their concerns
would be dealt with under a list of terms and conditions
to be signed by the successful bidder when the auction
took •plac e on Aug. 6, .. •
Under the agreement purchasers are responsible for
removal of the bridge and cleanup to be done within 30
days and' monitored by council: Posts in the ground are
to be cut off at ground•. level and any retaining walls
remain as theyare at the site. There. was a 10 per cent or.
Minimum $200 returnable clean up deposit. , •

The 9-1-1 and civic addressing bylaws have been sent
to the county and the township's solicitor for registra-
tion.
The name Kairshea Avenue was spelt wrong, howev-
er the county has agreed to provide, at no cost, an adhe-
sive sticker to go overtop of the already erected signs.
Trench request ,
A request from the Church of Ascension, Kinlough,
asking for permission to trench across township property
behind their church, was approved by council, as long as
the trench runs along the property. line.
