council about his concerns
over the environmental
impacts of' intensive live-
stock operations in the

Vicki Hackett, coordi-
nator for the Lucknow and
District Tourism office
introduced' herself to
council and explained the

function of the tourism
office. She provided coun-
cil with copies of various
magazines and brochures
and reported that large
numbers of visitors had
been through the office.
Hackett asked council
to consider making a
donation towards the er-
ations of the office.

Subject to review by the village'saengineer, the tender
of Georgian Aggregates (Seeley Amin) t� complete var-
ious road construction projects, was accepted by
Lucknow council last week.
The winning tender was for $215,551 including GST.
There will also be' a cost of 15 per cent for engineering
fees.
The only other tender was from Kerr Construction,
for $31$,878.'
Areas of work to be completed include: Inglis, Street 7.
the first block north from Campbell totally reconstruct-
ed, and then from Wheeler to, Gough curb .and, gutters,
street restoration, and resurfacing; tie intersection, at
Wheeler- and Outram will be fixed, new watermains
installed on Outran' from Wheeler north to Gough, plus
restoration on,that area. •
The finish date for the work is Oct. 3, except for the
second coat of paving on the first block of Inglis:
