Meeting Two Throughout meeting two on Aug. 8, we talked about different kinds of saWs, grains of, wood and knots, We learned 'differ- ent parts of our bodies to measure with when do measuring. tools are around, We also tried to. measure differentitems - With our bodies and them took a• measuring tape to see, if We were correct. A game we 'played was to tie our shoes without thumbs to prove how hard life can be without thumbs. Meeting Three Meeting three was a field trip to Dungannon Custom Builders and Dungannon Finisher's. One of the workers there answered all of our ques- tions and showed us around. • Some of the questions we asked were what kinds of saw do they use•and how many?, what types of grains are in .wood?, the different wood they use?, what types of joints they use?, and the different items they make. They also showed us what they would do when they first got the wood. • - After that we all asked • any questions we had about our projects. • We took home wood that we needed for our projects, Our next stop was the finisher's. He told tis what • he did when he received the wood from the builders until the finished product was Sold. We fol- lowed him back to. see where .he did all of the varnishing.
