Squirts. wrap up
soccer season
The Lucknow squirts
soccer league finished
their 10 -week season on I
July 29. These youngsters
aged 4 to. $.are learning
basic soccer skills. Many
of the senior squirts will
move up to the atom level
next year.
,At the endof each ses-
sion all players enjoyed a
well deserved treat. This
program. could not run
without the help of all the
parents. '
If 'there 'are any squirt'
soccer shirts still but
please •turn them in as
soon as possible.
In other soccer news,
the wrap-up tournament
for the mosquito's and
bantams will take place
Aug. 7 - 9 in Goderich.
The Lucknow bantams'
first game is at 9:45 on
Aug. 9, second game rU
will take place at 4:45.
with the championship
game at 7:30 under the
lights at the Agricultural
Park field

lakes and into Ontario.
The adult'moth is tan in
color and lays eggs in the
springtime on the lower
leaves of growing: grasses,
usually in ditches and
.• fence rows. The .larvae
usually hatch in mid -lune
and July and eat mainly
during the night. •
Larvae grow rapidly
and the suddenness of
crop damage is o•ften:.
caused by the rapid
increase in, feeding by the
large •worms. The 'ariny-
