Last Wednesday,. Anne and Mary Anne vis- ited with Ruth Colwell and Shirley and Ray adders at Clinton. Many from the Grove .enjoyed "Please Help. Me I'm. Falling" •at the Complex in Kincardine on. Monday afternoon. The one hundred and eleventh anniversary ser- vices 'were held Sunday at St, Andrews ' United Church in Ripley. A very . impressive music: program ••was provided by Kincardine United •Church Instrumental Ensemble. - Florence Farrell, Lois Small and Elva Lowry enjoyed' ' lunch with Edna Stanley this past week. Rob. Sutton was home on the weekend with a few friends:' Rob was the guest 'speaker at the anniversary' services at Bervie United Church on Sunday. Rob's friends assisted with the Music program. Weekend visitors with Wilda and Harvey, Thompson were Lauraine and Frank Burgstaller. of. Barrie; 'Ray 'and Linda -Thompso n; of . Mississauga, and Fred and Donna . Young ' of `UCpro compares life living in a garden { G• Dungannon. Last week, Esther and Alvin Blackwell of Goderich visited • with' the Thompsons. Congratulations to the , Ripley Horticultural Society on its 70th anniversary. A celebration: was. held Wednesday evening at Ripley District School. The Horticultural Society sponsored four 4- H Clubs this past spring. Each of the clubs gave a presentation, Wednesday evening:'Hats off to Marion Gamble and Edna Stanley who received dis- trict _ service awards. Fondly remembered in • spirit were. Reggie Moore, Sadie Gord Stanley and Tillie *Cosh. A wonder ful evening enjoyed by all. Visiting :with Fran and Jim Farrell were Jenny' Farrell and .Kathy Martin.., 'and boys Jared and .Scott,, of Kitchener. On Saturday, Fran, Carmen and Jenny Farrell and Inez.: Fenton of ,Port Elgin attended the.. 'Bruce 'North Women's Institute 'T00th Celebration, "Banners' Blue and Garlands Gold", held in Wiarton. The girls; were bpsy selling •quilt tickets. Units 1 and 2 by Allene.•Bradley Units 1 and 2 of .the Lucknow United Church Women met on June 3 and , enjoyed ''a ; bag lunch together h • ,Ella Hackett .. and Deanna Reavie presided for the program following. the theme "Living in the . Garden." : ,, Ella extended the wel- come -and read"Come Into the Garden of God," fol -- lowed by ' prayer. Laura Steffler read the scripture, and: Deanna gave the med- itation on. "The Garden is a Beautiful Place", with 'its peaceful scene :of flowers and greenery; colored but,, terflies and the music from the song of the birds, but .., there .could be. a snake.
